Pusha T recently had an awkward run-in with a self-proclaimed “chain snatcher” in Miami.
Content creator Steven Jo ran into the Virginia rapper as he was walking to the local Hermès store and immediately asked him, “How you gonna come to Miami and don’t tap in with ‘The Chain Snatchers?,’” Jo asked.
And when Push didn’t give him the reaction that he wanted, Jo then awkwardly dapped him up and again mentioned “tapping in” before admitting that he was only trolling for content and asking for a picture. “I just want you to understand the way to tap in and check in properly,” Jo said as he followed Pusha down the street. “I’m just playing with you, brother. I’m a content creator, people know me for that. Can I get a quick picture with you, brother?”
Push then hilariously answered back, “I can’t, you’re a chain snatcher. That just goes against my thing. I get money.”
Steven Jo continued to follow the “If You Know You Know” rapper to the Hermès store and again asked for some type of acknowledgement before they got into a back-and-forth about approach and what they do for a living. “But you said something to me that rubbed my kinda crazy,” Pusha told the popular content creator. “It’s respect, brother,” Jo then retorted. “I’m a content creator and I get money like that, so you can’t disrespect me as if it don’t count. You did what you had to do to do to get wherever.”
Pusha T again reiterated that he felt Jo went about his approach in a way that bothered him, saying, “But you told me something that was threatening to me,” explaining that he didn’t take it for the joke Steven Jo said he meant it as.
Following the MC into the store, Jo again mentioned that he asked for was a picture and that “Gangsters respect gangsters, real recognize real” to which Push replied with a smirk, “I don’t wanna be a gangster today. I ain’t on that. I’m chillin’.”
It all worked out in the end as they two posed for the camera at the end of the video with Jo apologizing for the way he went about introducing himself. Steven Jo recently made headlines in the streamer world for taking credit for allegedly snatching fellow streamer Jack Doherty’s chains and making a song about it.
